Daily Revival

Apostle Peter is referring to Psalm 90:4, “For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.” What Apostle Peter is insisting on is simply this - that distinctions of long and short time are nothing in the sight of God, and what seems to be the delay is a purely human conception. God is eternal, and therefore his thought is not, like ours, subject to the law of time. Reflection Point: Meditate on this verse – read it three times and ask God for implication of this verse in your life today. King James Version: 2Pet. 3:8 ¶ But, beloved, (1)be not ignorant of this one thing, that (2)one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. Douay-Rheims Bible: But of this one thing be not ignorant, my beloved, that one day with the Lord is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
